  • Roman Knap

    CEO Česká pošta

    Roman Knap (1975). A native of Nové Město na Moravě grew up in Prague. He studied business economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business and worked for renowned companies Oracle and KPMG.

    Since 2008, he had worked at the Czech branch of the software company SAP, which he had led since 2014. In January 2018, he also became responsible for managing the Slovak branch of the company. Since June 2018, he has been the CEO of Czech Post. In his free time, he likes to paint and box.

  • Margaux Meidinger

    Head of European CSR, Le Groupe La Poste

    Margaux MEIDINGER holds a Masters’ degree from the College of Europe in Bruges and from the Institute of Political Sciences of Strasbourg.

    Margaux has been the Chairwoman of PostEurop CSR activities Circle since 2018. She also chairs the Social affairs committee which represent the employers in the European Social Dialogue Committee for the postal sector, a joint body of employers and trade unions. In that framework she has acquired a solid knowledge on Sustainability issues in the European postal sector.

    In Le Groupe La Poste, where she has been working from more than 12 years, she is Head of European CSR affairs after have held different positions related to Human Resources, European affairs and Sustainability.

  • Elena Fernández Rodríguez

    Director of International Affairs and Sustainability, Correos y Telégrafos S.A.

    Mother of 5 children, she has a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Foreign Trade. Elena has taken several courses at the London School of Economics, IESE, IE and ESADE, in addition to the PROMOCIONA training program: Executive Program for Women in Senior Management.

    She has chaired, among others, the Strategy Committee and the Development Cooperation Committee at the Universal Postal Union (United Nations’ Agency for the Postal Sector) and at the European level, she is Chair of the European Affairs Committee at PostEurop since 2015.

    At Correos, she holds the position of Director of International Relations and Sustainability since 2016, being responsible for the design of the international regulatory strategy, the Studies Service and the definition of the company’s Sustainability Plan. Previously, she was Head of International Relations and Regulation from 2004 to 2015.

  • Joseph Gafà

    Joseph Gafà, CEO of MaltaPost p.l.c.

    Joseph Gafà is the CEO of MaltaPost p.l.c. since 2005. He began his career within the postal industry as Finance Executive in 1995, moving up to General Manager, Corporate Services in 2002.  Prior to that, Mr. Gafà began his professional career in 1991 as an Internal Auditor at the Malta Shipbuilding Company Limited. He subsequently moved to Kalaxlokk Company Limited (a Marine Construction company) as Financial Controller till 1995.

    Mr. Gafà has been involved in various commissions such as the Malta Constitution Employment Commission from 1991 to 1996 and Pastoral Council of the Malta Archidiocese from 1991 to 1995.  He was also a Board Director on two government entities.

    He has been a member of the PostEurop Management Board for 11 years from January 2003 till December 2013, and from January 2011 to December 2016 he has been a member of the EuroMed Postal Board. Since 1995 he has been active in various international postal meetings, including, Plenary Assemblies, EU Pre-accession Steering Committee meetings, PostEurop Electronic Information Forum, Quality of Service Project and Social Affairs Committee.

    He is a Founder Member of International Young Christian Workers established in Rome and also attended various international meetings world-wide.

  • Olivier Boussard

    Resource Mobilization and Stakeholder Engagement. Universal Postal Union (UPU)

    Olivier leads the Stakeholder Engagement and Resource Mobilization Unit at the Universal Postal Union (UPU). He is engaging with postal sector partners at large to build synergies and concrete projects to support the role of the postal network in social and economic development. Olivier has been with the UPU for more than 15 years starting as Chef de Cabinet of the Director General from 2005 to 2013. His focus is on building dialogue and strategic partnerships with international organizations and private sector partners to channel resources and expertise towards shared and impactful development objectives.
