CSR Coups de Coeur Awards - Employees

Switzerland

Swiss Post Improvements with Kaizen

Kaizen is a method for improving operational processes and an important factor in powering optimisation at Swiss Post. Kaizen enables employees to make an active contribution to improvements. Over 7,000 employees have been trained, and around 5,000 ideas are gathered every year.

The success story continues with the merger of PostMail and PostLogistics to form Logistics Services. Since 1.1.2021, knowledge development and transfer to the Kaizen philosophy has been driven forward within the new unit, to ensure an identical level of knowledge and implementation.

The effects can be seen in the wide range of methods used to improve postal procedures and the resulting process improvements. In addition to Logistics Services, PostBus – which numbers 4,000 employees – is also starting to introduce the Kaizen philosophy.
